What is Hybrid Integration?

Hybrid cloud integration can seem daunting at first, but it is actually quite useful once it is understood. Many businesses are adopting the hybrid cloud platform and use of hybrid cloud integration is growing rapidly. Certain features and capabilities are required for hybrid integration, which can cause confusion in the market. However, this popular service is cost-effective and allows for flexibility.

What is Hybrid Integration?

When hybrid integration is being mentioned, it can become confusing fast. Questions like, “what is hybrid integration and what is hybrid cloud” may be thrown around. However, hybrid integration and the hybrid cloud are virtually the same thing. Hybrid clouds are those that consist of one or more private clouds. Private clouds are those that run on private hardware, as in they are not open to the public. Hybrid clouds also have at least one public cloud. These are clouds that are open to the public, such as Google. It is important to remember that a hybrid cloud consists of multiple entities.

Hybrid cloud integration is more how the hybrid cloud can be used. For example, the hybrid cloud needs to have the capability to move between private and public clouds. Applications and data can be moved between these several different clouds. This can be used for additional security, management, and flexibility. In order to meet the needs for reliable cloud integration, some vendors have begun offering iPaas, or Integration Platform as a Service. Using iPaaS, consumers can develop channels that connect apps in the cloud or on-premises. They can do this without installing any or managing any additional hardware.

Benefits of Hybrid Cloud Integration

Hybrid cloud integration has many benefits, especially for large businesses and corporations that may handle more advanced workloads or challenging tasks. A business would be able to shift workloads between the different clouds, keeping a balance to their input and output. Applications have the ability to run in the private cloud, but would also have access to a public cloud.

Hybrid cloud can also allow a business or corporation to enable a wide range of different IT services. These large businesses may run several workloads on the private cloud, but also use the public cloud for management tools or as a database. The amount of tools available via the hybrid cloud is virtually endless. It is important to test tools and see how they would work for your business before making a committment.

When wondering, “what is hybrid integration?”, the responses can seem confusing at first. However, once it is understood it is easy to see how it can help businesses and corporations. Dynamic and challenging workloads no longer stand a chance. This unique integration is growing rapidly, due to giving businesses greater flexibility and more options for data management to help foster growth.
